Aspiring to excellence
Year 3 have had a very busy start to the academic year. The teachers are very pleased with how well the children have settled in. The children have had exciting English lessons, where they have been following and writing instructions to make butter, jam and scones. The pupils have also had the opportunity to make these in lessons, the staff in Year 3 were very impressed with their cooking skills! In maths, Year 3 have been working hard on partitioning and place value of numbers. Science has seen the children learn about different food groups and amount of nutrients that humans and other animals need in their diet as part of the Animals Including Humans topic. Pupils have been creating some wonderful self-portraits in art, there are some talented artists in Year 3!
